Restaurants weren't something he entirely felt comfortable with when he arrived here, but now they are a pleasant part of his life, all the more with a friend. His palette has expanded -- and honestly, recovered. He takes the menu, it not escaping his attention that whoever pays, this meal is essentially paid for with sex. Which -- they have not had. He's not sure if that makes this sweeter or stranger. Not that he minds. ]
Between war and prison, I got used to not being picky about food. It's been wonderful to change it here [ he adds, not meaning to bring the mood down ] but I quite enjoy trying things others like, as there are simply too many things for me try on my own.
That said, I like savory dishes, and with the cold, anything hearty.
