I think seeing you, confident and in charge like that, is possibly the most comfortable I’ve seen you when we’ve played. At least in that role.

[ He pushes himself up into a sitting position, leaning his weight on his hands as he grins down at his lover. ]

And it was ridiculously attractive. I figured it would be, just from the scenario we chose, but seeing it firsthand… Damn, Basch. Clearly I need to let you be in charge more often, if that’s what we get to do.

[ Well, he's flushing deeply, eyes drifting to the ground and fully biting his lip. He shakes his head, trying to clear the embarrassment, but it prickles on his skin. ]

I -- didn't realize you liked me being in charge that much.

[ Except he already knew, didn't he? Every time they'd played that way, Sylvain had enjoyed it and relaxed. ]

If you like it, then we should do it more, I just --

[ He can't quite get the sentence out, his cheeks still burning. ]

[ He can practically feel the embarrassment simmering in the other man and he could tease him for that, but he wants Basch to be more comfortable with this. So he temporarily diverts that intention instead. ]

Didn't you like it, when you wore my collar and I led you out for the night?

[ he knows the answer to that, but he wants to put this into perspective for Basch and hopes this might help it make more sense. ]

[ And that, as always, is why Basch feels so safe with Sylvain. The other knows when to push and when to reassure.

And he sees Sylvain's point. ]

Very much. I wasn't sure how it would feel, since that beginning of that scenario you were so against it.

[ He brushes Sylvain's hair back absently. ]

That first night I was with you, I was frightened that you'd go to far, but it was such a relief to let you take charge once I realized you weren't going to.

[ He cups his hand over Basch's, his smile gentle and wry. ]

I want you to think about how you felt for both of those nights. What you got out of it. What you were afraid of and what you trusted. So let me assure you, I got the same out of it, I'm pretty sure. You're right, there is a sense of relief in it, in surrendering. And I know you will never go too far. Trust like that doesn't come easily - for either of us, I think.

I know. I think that's why I have such a hard time understanding why you give it to me. Not now, like this, but in a situation like that where you don't know who I am and I haven't earned it.

[ He gives a wry smile of his own. ]

Maybe I'm too protective of you.

[philancer]

Maybe I didn't have as many issues there, either. [ He spreads his hands in a shrug before snickering. ] No, who am I kidding? I always have issues. I'm also immensely stubborn.

We knew the first time trying this wasn't going to be easy. That's why we added some enhancement. Even if I didn't remember agreeing to it, it doesn't change that I chose this. I knew you'd convince me one way or another.

[bardische]

Stubborn, but always making exceptions for me.

I suppose this wasn't so different from the professor play. There's some part of you that likes being desired and overpowered by authority, isn't there? One who turns out to be safe, at least.

[philancer]

[ At that stated so plainly, he feels a flush of heat creep up the back of his neck as he makes a sound that's not quite a protest, but not exactly an agreement, either. ]

I think it's the 'safe' part that makes the difference.

[bardische]

Oh, sweet, did I make you blush this time?

[ It's a low, gentle laugh as he slides his hand through Sylvain's hair. He understands a little better why Sylvain always enjoys making him flush. ]

I'm glad I'm so safe for you, even when we aren't ourselves.

[philancer]

I admit to nothing.

[ Which is basically an admission in itself.

But he chuckles as he kisses Basch again. ]

You were definitely still yourself in all the ways that counted.

[bardische]

[ He won’t push, but he likes that Sylvain is exploring something vulnerable and new with him too. Even if that’s what makes him nervous.

Still, Sylvain is right. This place’s influence or not, both of them have enjoyed everything together. That feels important. ]

I suppose that is a valid assessment. And that you were as well. Stubborn. Beautiful. Hungry. Sweet.

[philancer]

Sweet?!

[ he spares a moment on mock insult at that scandalous compliment. But it’s obvious the reaction is completely feigned. ]. I’ll take the rest of them, but sweet?! Really?

[bardische]

[ It's not lost on him that once he would have recoiled from that mock distress, not understanding how he'd misstepped. Now he can grin and press. ]

You worry about me, and push me to take care of myself, and make sure I feel safe and wanted. What would you call that?

[philancer]

Being a responsible and doting lover.

[ he crosses his arms over his chest, as if this were something he was about to get stubborn about. Hell, he might. Just for the fun of having something new to tease Basch about. Or being teased about in return. ]

[bardische]

[ He almost backs off at that, but he knows Sylvain too well, and the glint in his eyes doesn't match his stubborn stance. ]

Which you are, and it's very sweet.

[ He raises a brow. ]

Is your sweetness a secret? I won't tell anyone.

[philancer]

You’ll totally ruin my hard-won reputation.

[ He gives a mock-mournful sigh, as if this were the most tragic fate and how could Basch do such a thing to him. ]

I’ll just have to keep you and your sweetness to myself then.

[ he grins, hand on the back of Sylvain’s neck as he pulls their foreheads close.

Another tease he wouldn’t have been bold enough to make before. ]

So…we should do this again then?

[philancer]

[ He's really enjoying Basch's newfound bravery. Especially when it gets him cute moments like this. ]

I think we should. If you're comfortable with it, that is? I think I'm more worried about if we're still in our comfort zone. I think we both know I'm pretty flexible. [ he flashes Basch a quick grin, his manner dipping into playful again. ] And a deviant. Whether you're playing Professor or not.

[bardische]

I thought the point of this was to push comfort zones.

[ but his voice is soft and thoughtful, fingers brushing through Sylvain’s hair. ]

I’m not sure I’m ready to be your professor again if I don’t know we’re playing. But I would do this again, here.

You were a terribly tempting student though.

[philancer]

Admit it, you couldn't stop staring at my ass in that uniform.

[ He's totally helping push comfort zones, right? ]

[bardische]

[ he flushes a little, but to his credit he grins back, one of his hands going to squeeze that ass. ]

I often have trouble keeping my eyes off your ass. Especially when you’re trying to get me to look.

You were so frustrated I didn’t give in sooner. It was oddly endearing.

[ He wrinkles his nose at that description. 'Endearing' hadn't been the reaction he'd been going for. Clearly. ]

I'm suitably impressed with your willpower. Although I have to say, having you fuck me over your desk was particularly delightful. I hadn't even realized that was a fantasy I had. Then again, you're quite the upgrade from most of my actual professors.

[bardische]

[ he laughs again, thumb grazing over that wrinkled nose. And it soothes something in him to hear the other appreciated his willpower. It still sat uneasy with him that he could be lured off a hard line, even if he was sure the reason was that it was Sylvain ]

I clearly found you alluring enough to give in. And…it was quite hot. I’ve revisited that one.

I’m not sure you would have liked me as well if I had been your professor, but I’ll take being your fantasy one. I like finding your desires.

To be fair, I didn't like most of my professors, so that's not a hard assumption. [ But on the upside, Basch could never be as terrible as Seteth, in Sylvain's opinion. Sylvain also wasn't trying to seduce Basch's daughter, so he supposes that's fair. (Not that he'd ever tried to seduce Flayn anyway, but apparently the possibility enough had been motive enough for Seteth's reactions.) ]

But I'll keep you as my fantasy professor anyway. Although I'm gonna be real sad if I never get to play off sucking you off under your desk while you're trying to give a lecture. Just saying.
